YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?
So what has changed from youtube 2005 to youtube 2009?
Well lets see...
Majority of these statements have been copied from the channel:y0utubesucksnow
Bulletins have been removed.
"This video has been removed due to a copyright claim by WMG"
New video uploader.
You can't rate a video without everyone knowing about.
Took away the ability to use a URL image for your account image and replaced it so you only can upload a file less then 256k.
Made comment pages so you can only skip 3 at a time.
Comment voting option. (Everyone has the right to free speech don't they?)
Innocent people are getting suspended, while the trolls are being supported...
Youtube are making little to no effort to remove disgusting and hurtful videos.
The site is slowly becoming harder to use, and more annoying to use.
Even perfectly innocent videos can be flagged as inappropriate.
People claim Youtube are claiming copyright even on private videos...
Youtube don't care about how users react to the changes, if they like the changes, they stick with them, regardless of how the community reacts.
Removed the option to upload an icon from a URL.
Youtube is doing too much to promote ads.
Partners are being used to promote ads.
Adverts are blasted in your face when you visit the youtube website.
Too much ads on promoting google products, i.e: Google Chrome.
If your videos or channel don't promote ads, Youtube don't want you here.
Videos from smaller channels are having their views cut in half.
Moby theme is now permanent (Different youtube layout, new top bar with search next to youtube log)
Stupid toolbar on bottom of the screen, that doesnt even let you talk to other youtubers
Youtube have removed the support for itunesupdater: to recieve podcast from a youtuber via subscription tags and itunes.
Youtubes "broadcast yourself" is now part of the logo.
Youtube player removed rewind button (click it and it will take you to the beginning of video) and added "replay at the end of video"
HQ size is now the size of HD, but it is still blurry and cant be helped
What are YOUR thoughts on youtube?

Re: YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?
I like the improvements. Plus a lot of that is conspiracy and very biased, the community matters to Google just as much as the partners.
Re: YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?
Personally, i think youtube should have asked the community what they wanted, not just change it without notice...

Re: YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?
I never used youtube until around 2008 so i haven't noticed many of these differences.
Re: YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?
Ive used YouTube since late 2006/early 2007, some of the other changes are:
Bought by Google (2007)
Allowed profile picture uploading (December 2007)
Changing the video limit from 100 MB to 1 GB (Spring 2008)
Username info in top left-hand corner going from "Hello, Darkspy946" to "Hi, Darkspy946!" to simply "Darkspy946".
New channels (2009)
New inbox (Spring 2008)
New account and videos, favourites etc pages (Spring & Summer 2008)
New player (June 2008)
New homepage (June 2008)
Warp (February 2008 - Removed when player was changed)
Channel layout revamp (August 2008)
Not all changes are bad

Nope, you can only have past 10 mins if you either have the directors promotion or if you are a youtube partner. YES THEY SHOULD GET RID OF IT BUT THE ANSWER THEY WILL GIVE BACK IS WHAT I JUST SAID...

Re: YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?
They should have like 15-20 minutes for members and longer for others.

Re: YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?
The only things I hate about YouTube are:
1: The dumb 2.0 channels.
2: Suspending innocent users for no reason.
3: 10-minute time limit for videos (except for partners )

GRRR look at "Microsoft's channel" on YT, it has over 700 favorites
Re: YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?

ITS NOT A PARTNER, type just Microsoft in the YT URL
Re: YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?
Partners are just basically users that are promoting ads. You stop promoting ads, youtube don't want your partnership :-(

Re: YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?
Partners and ads are googles way of making money.
YouTube takes up loads of bandwith, must cost millions. They have to get that money from somewhere.

Re: YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?
I don't care, Something good is always bought out by a company, and then "made for mainstream" which means we are going to make it harder for users and better for our sponsors. Its bulls--t we will have to live with for the rest of our lives, in 2014 when youtube dies, the next best thing will happen, we will get 4 years of awesomeness, then it will be bought out by another company, cycle begins again.
We can't change it, we can only hope youtube dies sooner.

Same, but I also hate that the bulletins have been removed.
Re: YouTube 2009-What Are The Changes?
For people that didn't know me on my old account: I joined YouTube in September 2008 with an account called "ale12396" but guess what? They suspended me for no reason so I created "TheComputerGuy96" which is more popular.
