Microsoft Security Essentials is my current anti-virus. I can't really say it's the best though

Well, in my opinion, Avira is the way to go.

Avira is lightweight, and easy to use.
Avast is not that lightweight, and not that easy to use.
AVG is horrible.
Norton is a great protection but its a really resource hog.
Microsoft Security Essentials is very good also!

So i recomend Avira or Avast or MSE.

I use Avast on Vista as its simple and such.

But MSE on 7. The latest version released yesterday which has updated icons and such is running really nice and dosent affect performance one bit on 7.,

I use Microsoft Security Essencials on Windows 7 and Windows Vista, I used to use Avast, but avast didn't detect this virus, when i got MSE, it detected, quarentined it, and told me which applications it effected, and how I can go about getting functionality back. I was like "awesome", that was on vista, MSE does not detect any of my "applications" that "help" me "recover" my "key" if you catch my drift, but detected a trojan a while ago, I had no idea I even downloaded anything. MSE all the way

I use Kaspersky. One of my friends on YouTube (danooct1) recommended it. He likes to test viruses, so I'm sure he knows how to protect himself from them too. I gave it a try, and it works pretty good. So I switched to it. Smile

avast! and AVG are a good combination.

avast! is good for on access protection, AVG is good for deep scans.

You can't use 2 antivirus protection in real time!!

you have to start learning about computer viruses, Antiviruses, etc..

Start by going here

You can run two anti-viruses together, please don't tell me I don't know anything.

It makes me sad.

I ran BitDefender and NOD32 at the same time a long time ago when I was a n00b, it corrupted winlogon.exe and I had to reinstall Windows.

Still has to be Microsoft Security Essentials.
Simple. Fast. Free.

Couldn't agree more. However for some reasons I'd rather not explain here (but you might guess), I have to use avast!, which is the second best antivirus IMO.
